- To assist rural women to form themselves into Self Help Groups.
- To encourage rural women to save their own money, share the resources of the group & hence steer away from the clutches of rural moneylenders.
- Reach out to all the rural poor families and link them to sustainable livelihoods opportunities.
- To help SHG members to achieve self-dependency and independence of thought, yet to take collective decision democratically.
- To bring the beneficiaries above the poverty line by providing income generating assets to them through bank credit and government subsidy.
- Linkages with mainstream institutions including bank & government departments to address their core livelihoods issues
- Use of SHG savings for small consumption needs & to move ahead for taking up economic activity for financial independence.
- Nurture them till they come out of poverty & good quality of life.
- To improve self-esteem and self-worth of rural women.
